At least this time they reacted, even with nothing concrete and just vague promises (as always) they didn't let the thing go weird and become a monster.
@noel your post is really good and well written. If only they would follow this kind of advice...
Imo they must understand that arrogance is never the answer and overreacting or posting picures to mock customers is never good for business. They're speaking with customers and since the numbers of their last games isn't so good, they should be careful with them.
They're rebuilding a community and it's not by mocking or lowering their fans they can achieve something good.
They have already lost the Mass Effect IP in favor of a small studio that made only the little MP for the third game, they should ask themselves why they lost it.
It's just because the guys handled the backlash with a better approach on the BSN than Edmonton's guys and gals and only with this, they kept their good rep.
And just think a little: if the QA manager of a game, the guy you should NEVER see in any social media is taking the mike, he must have a REALLY good reason to do this.
Imo ? Two letters: EA. Perhaps they're getting tired of all of this.
Noelemahc : So the thread isn't locked and active. The simple fact that nobody dared to quote you (and I strongly emphasize the word "dared" because you said a lot of bioware past mistakes in your post, imo, it's BIG BAD and NAUGHTY virtual slaps they took) and that Amelia (or wathever her name) don't answer anymore show only one thing: your message has been received and, perhaps, someone was getting angry about Bioware's reaction this time. The simple fact that a QA Manager is taking the community's Executive Communication in hand show only the lack of competence of this community manager and moderators and someone, somewhere, wasn't happy with what was happening.
I can see an EA exec sitting at his desk yelling "NOT AGAAAAAIN !!!" (and i think it's what happened)
Perhaps we'll see changes. Only if the Ninja and Priestly stay away for this effort of course...
