Witcher 3

I do feel that a lot is riding on this title, and I sincerely hope that it will be able to fulfill most of the expectations aimed at it. Personally I hope this game will teach other developers across the board how to blend story-telling with a seamless open world and make it feel urgent. It seems that you either get games like Bioshock Infinite and the Last of Us, to name a few examples, these days that has a very linear progression and a tight narrative, or you have the Elder Scrolls where you can frolick around as much as you want and the world will wait until you decide to deal with the main quest.

Do I honestly believe CD Projekt Red can pull it off? I`ll believe it when I see it, but I certainly hope they can push the limits of the medium.

I am guilty of dismissing Geralt entirely based on the few snippets of the games I`ve seen on Youtube as a womanizing, unsympathetic ruffian who doesn`t give a damn about anything, but I will be the first to admit that I am most likely wrong. I do prefer to be able to customize my character as much as possible in an RPG as well, so being stuck with a single character does kind of put a dampener on my excitement for this game. But that is just a matter of preference on my part.

I have never been into the Witcher-series before, but I might seriously consider this third installment as my entry into the series. Either way I`ll look forward to this one for sure!
