And the main villain needs some named henchmen imo, someone we can both hate and get excited when "x" squares off against him.
Closest they've gotten to doing that right was Kurse and...uh...that one guy in Guardians played by Djimon Hounsou. You know. "Starlord." "WHOOOO?"
And the boss fight... work on your boss fights Marvel...
Yeah.
Btw, shame the DK trilogy has become an example to avoid when it's pretty F... awesome.
I may not have phrased it correctly then. I only used it as an example since it was the most popular gritty superhero movie in recent memory. I'm not asking for Batman not because I think the DK trilogy was too gritty, but simply because I know Marvel seems to hate grit in its movies like Superman hates kryptonite. So while I may never again expect a serious tone from a Marvel movie I can't help but hope they at least TRY to add some kind of tension in the future.
Spoilers(btw how do you spoiler tag on this forum):
[*spoiler]Stuff you want to spoiler tag[/*spoiler] Without the asterisks of course.
It's also hard to buy Ultron is a dark side Tony because all we see is that he discussed the idea of a super artificial intelligence with Banner one that would defend the earth autonomously(which seems like a small upgrade from Jarvis imo) before but they couldn't do it, and the mind gem provided the necessary step up... so as far as i'm concerned Ultron comes from the mind gem, we didn't see Stark do anything other than plug it into his system...
Jarvis/Vision (and Friday) are also nothing like Tony.

I agree that we don't see Stark do anything, but they definitely imply this is the case a few times. Its probably another thing that got cut for time.
I don't get why Scarlett Witch and Quicksilver would work for Ultron once they found out he was an AI.
Might be me breaking the fourth wall because AIs always go bad lol, but seemed reasonable to me to end the partnership right there lol.

Something, something, revenge plot #4228. They really really hate Tony Stark because of that one time a Stark bomb actually failed to work (I'm going to call that the offscreen Ex-Wife of Tony Stark). Rather than, y'know, blame the people or faction that was launching bombs in a civilian area, they go after the guy whose name is on the bomb. Because reasons. IMO this is a scene they should have actually had play out instead of just them saying it. Could easily have cut out, oh I dunno, the entire Hulk/Widow romance to make room for it.
