I bought the PS3 version of the game, only because it was a 50% discount on it.
I do not know if the game has many bugs on other platforms/consoles, but this version often tends to crash at the war table and sometimes during mid-combat so that I have to do a hard restart of the PS3. Dark Souls sometimes did that during Blightown, but not nearly as often as DA:I does. Slow loading times occasionally occurs, but none of these issues really bug me that much as I did buy the poor-mans version of the game after all.
As I slog my way through the relatively large maps I let the main story sit and wait while I collect shards, go treasure hunting, solve astrariums and the like as I prefer to go exploring when that is an option rather than going straight for the main objective.
The one thing that keeps ringing in the back of my head while playing is the tag-line; "Lead them, or fall."
So far I haven`t done much falling, I pretty much end up leading them even though I deny my divine stature every chance I get.
The first act culminates in an attack by the main bad guy on your up to then quiet headquarters, which after a scene where you basically can only move your character forwards and some dialogue, ends in one of the most awkward and cringe-worthy moments in gaming I have seen in a long time.
I am of course talking about the Inquisition song and the moment when you realize that the Inquisition is both stupid and comprised of a bunch of zealots. A terrifying prospect if this had not been a Bioware game. And yes they SING, mere moments after barely escaping a crushing defeat and may the run the risk of being detected, or possibly triggering a second avalanche within a matter of hours.
Now that would be the biggest EPIC FAIL of all time.
The transition from Haven to Skyhold is jarring to say the least. After narrowly escaping certain death, the Inquisition just strolls in and re-establishes itself at a fortress that is just there and nothing has really changed.
This is a Bioware story, so nothing needs to make sense after all.
