Lots of Gamescom Info. We ready for this?
First of all, a bit of compiled info on Waypoint detailing the extremely convoluted Req pack system. To credit, they certainly have gone far and away to prevent Halo 5 from being a pay to win game. However, all of these checks and balances make me wonder why anyone would pay for these packs in the first place (other than the increased chance to get a randomly generated Armor permutation or assassination animation). Then again, experience has taught me that people will buy anything.
Second of all, we have the inevitable special edition console, which will include all of the Limited Edition stuff except for a disc, of course. Preorder yours today!. We also have the special edition strategy guide, and the special edition art book. All of which include a Req pack as DLC.
We also have an official ESRB rating for Halo 5. Bucking against years of tradition, Halo 5 will only be rated T for Teen. As with Dragon Age Inquisition, their reasons remain hilarious.
Oh please let those be Promethean taunts. I want to hear those lines coming from that sexy, sexy Warden Eternal.
Anyway, last but not least, the Blue Team level (which Game Informer detailed and played months back) was shown off. Here's some footage of Spartan IIs kicking Covenant ass.

This is a first-person shooter in which players assume the role of a super soldier (Locke) searching for a missing character. Players use pistols, machine guns, grenade launchers, and futuristic weapons to kill alien and human enemies in frenetic combat. Battles are highlighted by realistic gunfire, explosions, and occasional blood-splatter effects. Characters can also use “assassinations” to kill characters by snapping their necks, or by stabbing them with bladed weapons. The word “a*s” appears in the dialogue, as well as occasional taunts/insults (e.g., “I have copulated...with your genetic progenitors!”; 'Your father was a filthy colo and your mother was a hole in the wall!').
