So i played it and two little things first:
First, Origins is canon, no matter what rocksteady said, the story of the game is acknowledge numerous time (Arnaky and Executioner gears are in the game, in fact everything that hapened in the game is acknowledge even by the characters: joker, blackmask, firefly etc...). The game is part of the Arkham universe. Period. Rocksteady tried to distance themselves with Origins but it was a mistake because...
Second, Origins story and characters are stellar in comparison to Arkham Knight. The story is boring ! Only Oracle is interesting but after two hours in the game if you know the batverse a little, you know who is the knight (after less than 10% of the game). It's just a stupid brat... Like in the comics... Joker killed him and i was happy, like a lot of readers.
The story without spoiling anything: the Arkham Knight ask each bad guy in Gotham City to work together with Scarecrow as a leader and buy him a private army for three BILLIONS of dollars, just to kill the Batman... And several of them they agreed... but only Two Faces and Pingouin had any money. Wow. I didn't knew they where like Lex Luthor... Oh yeah and joker is back. He's dead but he's back in such a stupid way...
Beside all of this, it's more a game where we play an ironman Batman with a tank. In fact you can't freeroam because in each part of the game, the tank is forced on you, you MUST have it, even for Riddlers trophies. The five first minutes of driving are cool but the game could have been named Need For Speed: the bat tank ! The riddlers rides are ridiculous, most wanted stories are always "find three times the same thing to capture the bad guy".
They missed the spot heavily with this one. I think my headcanon have origins but not Arkham Knight (which is an arrogant and stupid brat).

The gordon family stories and Scarecrow. They should have made Bane the Arkham Knight (after all in the comic he stop using the Titan).

Jason Todd hate Batman because he never killed the joker... Why he became the Knight to kill batman after he killed the Joker ? it's just nonsense, like how he survive
