Random thoughts from random points in the handy article sevach linked.
Not surprised by this at all. Game is clearly trying to move past ME3 in all ways. This also means we'll probably see a Quarian and/or a Geth at some point, regardless of player choice in ME3.
I dunno, Shepard could be pretty dense sometimes. His knowledge of things outside human and possibly Turian history seemed sketchy aside from very basic information about each race.
Humans seemed to be doing pretty good to me by the time ME3 rolled around. The rapid rise of Cerberus clearly shows how powerful humans can be if they really want to be. Especially when armed with the knowledge that ME3 Cerberus all happened AFTER the Turians absolutely wrecked them between ME2 and ME3. Humans also snatched the leadership role in ME3 when everyone else was panicking.
We'll see. I wouldn't be surprised if they just pulled a DA:O and just had more sex scenes total while keeping everything else the same.
Kind of a repeated theme here. Humans were still the newcomers on the block, relatively speaking, in ME1-ME3. Shepard especially due to being the first human Spectre.
Since the Citadel, the Council and the entire galaxy is a whole galaxy away I don't see how this would matter even if you were a Spectre. The Council's weight and authority hardly even mattered in places like the Terminus Systems, let alone a new galaxy. Might have had some impact on people from the Milky Way, but that would be it.
...Okay.
So combined with the above the logical conclusion is that the player is a GODDAMNED SYNTH. AD VICTORIAM BROTHERS! PURGE THE ABOMINATIONS!
COMMUNISM IS THE VERY DEFINITION OF FAILURE!
EMBRACE DEMOCRACY, OR YOU WILL BE ERADICATED!

DEATH IS A PREFERABLE ALTERNATIVE TO COMMUNISM!
TACTICAL ASSESSMENT: RED CHINESE VICTORY IMPOSSIBLE!
Sounds to me like the galaxy's really messed up from ME3 then, prompting a desperate expedition of Ark ships to a whole new galaxy stuffed with all the major species.
-Mass Effect 3’s ending and your decisions won’t affect Andromeda

-Instead of your character already knowing a lot about the Galaxy like Shepard, you’re going to be discovering all of this stuff with them
I dunno, Shepard could be pretty dense sometimes. His knowledge of things outside human and possibly Turian history seemed sketchy aside from very basic information about each race.
-In ME1, humans found themselves to be the underdogs in a larger galaxy, and this is ultimately a core theme of Mass Effect, not just the trilogy

-Relationships and romances will be more realistic
-Friendships and romances will take into account character temperaments. Some may be harder to talk to.
-Romance won’t be limited to checking in a few times, then getting a romance scene.

-Humanity are the aliens this time, it’s the story of a stranger in a strange land
Kind of a repeated theme here. Humans were still the newcomers on the block, relatively speaking, in ME1-ME3. Shepard especially due to being the first human Spectre.
-You won’t have the kind of support Shepard would have. You’re not exactly a Spectre this time

-We will be able to choose male/female, but they want to go a little bit further with this. More details to come soon
...Okay.
-The female Ryder isn’t exactly the default face. There is a bit of a twist this time around but they can’t say more yet

-The protagonist’s role will be vast, their goal is to find a new home for humanity and the other races accompanying them, requiring a character of many qualities
