The Nomad makes me really miss the Mako. Best thing I've seen for a combat purpose is trying to run over things with it (this does not always work, sometimes you "miss" even though it should have been a dead-on hit), but it feels more fragile than the Mako, though not as bad as the Hammerhead. Fragility might partially be attributed to playing on Insanity, but still.
I literally can't believe there's no weaponized vehicles that got brought along. I mean, we brought GUNS, and presumably some ships have weapons, why not the primary ground exploration vehicle? The Mako would be such a better fit for the exploration theme thanks to being able to DEFEND ITSELF.
Hell, why would we even bring the thermal clip style weapons if we knew supplies could potentially be an issue? The cooldown ME1-style guns would likewise be IDEAL for being alone in an isolated galaxy without a galactic infrastructure backing up industry.
Also, the Nomad completely breaks away from the shark naming scheme. ALSO also the damn thing has a BUILT IN MINERAL SCANNER. OH YES. IT DOESN'T HAVE WEAPONS, BUT WE CAN DRIVE AROUND AND SCAN FOR MINERALS WITH IT, BECAUSE I ENJOYED THAT SO MUCH IN ME2, EXCEPT NOW WE DO IT IN A FISHTAILING VEHICLE. Least favorite vehicle in Mass Effect so far. Why do they keep getting worse as the games go on?
Nomad < Hammerhead < Mako
Squad AI is hideous. I can tell them where to go and that's it. Can no longer command squadmates to use abilities, just have to hope they use them correctly and at the right time. This is particularly awful with the Vanguard henchman, who will occasionally decide to Biotic Charge right into the thick of things and die for her troubles. They'll also occasionally just stand around and not take cover. I don't know if this is bad AI, or due to the shifty cover system that I'm not a fan of and the AI has troubles with it like I do.

It's not all bad though. Drack, the krogan, seems like a badass--as all krogan should be. Haven't recruited him onto the team yet, but he had a decent first entrance. Vetra, the turian, seems alright. Haven't really interacted with her much, though she doesn't seem as depressed or angry as Garrus could get sometimes. Kandros on the other hand, the head of security on the Nexus? Totally Garrus. If ME1 Garrus had taken the ride to Andromeda, he would be Kandros. Peebee the asari seems fairly annoying, like a Liara who's high on caffeine and more outspoken. I doubt I'll be talking to her much.
So far the tradition of the first two henchmen being the most boring henchmen--Ashley/Kaidan, Miranda/Jacob, Vega/VS, now Cora and whats-his-face, has held true. That said, whats-his-face does have a nifty grenade ability, so I might throw him back on the team even if I dislike his attempts at humor, if only for practical purposes since so far his grenade is the only useful henchman ability, haven't really looked into Vetra's yet so can't attest to her usefulness.
