Mass Effect Andromeda ~ Not Quite "The Something", Eh?

I agree with you on the points you raised there, they surely went the "Red Way", aka the "least worst" of the endings. About Turians, I'm sure they will eventually show up, I don't see why they wouldn't, after all, they were one of the 4 major races in the galaxy, they can't have disappeared just in a fingersnap. No race disappeared in a wink in the original trilogy, not even the Batarians. Oh, wait...

More seriously, the Geth and Quarians are not really likely to appear IMO, not only because the points you raised about Red Ending's impact on cybernetics on a galactic scale, but also because on one hand, Quarians wouldn't really fit in a last, desperate attempt to colonise another galaxy, their race being already on jeopardy in the Milky Way, and with the problem of having enough people in the ark ships to maintain genetic diversity and all, it wouldn't make much sense seeing them in Andromeda. Or maybe a handful of them, some kind of renegades or rogues for space engineering and ship maintenance issues, since they were basically the best at it among the other races. About the Geth... well, even if the Red Wave of Destruction did not kill all of them, most of the galaxy didn't trust them in the first place, and they (aka Legion, which I found completely silly after what he did in ME2) allied with the Reapers in ME3, so I don't see the last effort at preserving the galaxy's lifeforms involving the Geth. Or maybe some infiltrators stuck in a dark corner of the ark ships, but to serve what purpose ? Spy for the Reapers ? Or "corpses" taken in to conduct mad scientist-style experiments and which suddenly come back to life due to an unknown factor in Andromeda ? Still, I don't see what goal they would serve in this game...

I also have an issue with bringing the Krogans into the adventure, are they pre-genophage cure Krogans or post-genophage cure ones ? The first case would be stupid IMO, since they would still have a grudge against the other races for plaguing them with it and wouldn't be really reliable, especially since they're basically the Orks of the ME universe, but post-genophage Krogans on a large scale didn't even exist in ME3 since the remedy is part of ME3's story... And for the ark ships thing to make sense, they would have been launched quite early during the Reapers' invasion, so way before what happens on Tuchanka in ME3 (though I still fail to see how and when they had the technology, time and ressources to build them, especially when the crucible's construction sucked in every ressources and manpower, but that's another story).

I agree with you about the post-ME3, people packing up to leave part, even if it's not 100% logical - I mean, what's the point of risking a long-distance travel to an unknown, faraway galaxy if they actually won the final battle and can rebuild everything in the Milky Way, especially if it involves building giant ships and depriving the galaxy from lots of ressources needed for the reconstruction ? Or maybe they could justify it by "the Milky Way is totally in shambles, no way we can rebuild that, so we need to do it elsewhere, far, far away", but that would still be kinda silly IMO (but maybe it's just me).

EDIT: Dude Ryder and Gal Ryder are siblings. The N7 in the reveal trailer was their father.

The siblings idea actually could be neat if it's handled well. It was an interesting bit in DA2 even if it never really panned out. I was always disappointed that (like almost every other theme from ME1) your mother (if you chose Spacer) never rated more than a passing mention in either of the sequels.

I'm still calling the arcs leaving between ME1 and ME2. Regardless of whether it makes any sense at all I think BW is going to stay as far way as possible from ME3, and especially any mention of the endings.

after some checks, the PS4 PRO will not be abble to display a real 4K, it will not be able to read 4K bluray, it is planned to be an upscale.
Strangly the vids showed by Bioware is not an upscale... Strange.

I don t really care about the vid because it show nothing about the game itself. It is pretty, as any pre-rendered vid should. Nothing about interactions, combat, space travel or choices.
We will see. I am just curious to see the characters hands textures lol.

DA2, you pick one, the other is an NPC. Sort of like the backstories of ME1 all had characters that would be whoever you didn't pick and would die; like the backstories of DAO would all be NPCs you didn't pick which died because Duncan saved and recruited you and not them.

I doubt they even need a single Titan XP to make 30fps at 4k. The PS4 Pro is roughly equivalent to an RX 470 which is a decidedly mid-range card.
