^ I actually have a spare Dreamcast that needs its laser recalibrated (occasionally, it loses its place and freezes the game, but the fact that it reads 80% of the time tells me the laser itself is probably okay.

Nice collection sir. Awesome collection.
What is the handheld console to the left of your Gamegear? Is that a version of the Gamegear with a bigger screen? I seem to remember hearing about a different version of the Gamegear but I could also just be recalling things that don't exist.
The handheld to the left of the Game Gear is an Atari Lynx, another nice color handheld of its day (and the only console to my knowledge to allow a player to use the d-pad right handed for southpaws that might want such a thing). There does exist a few different iterations of the Game Gear with larger screen, colored buttons, slightly more efficient battery, etc. Like the incremental upgrades of the PSP and Vita, they lack the aesthetic distinction from their originals to grab my attention at the moment.
Yep. In fact, the Lost World was the last official Game Gear game ever commercially released, and one of the largest GG carts in terms of capacity.
Awesome. I wish you luck and lots of fun on your metaphoric travels. I, for one, have been having a hell of a time playing some gems that I missed. I'm currently enamored with the Amiga scene now that I've got a working CD32.

Speaking of the Gamegear, I do have fond memories of playing a Jurassic Park game on the one I owend. I could have sworn it was related to the movie The Lost World, but I can't seem to find anything about it online. Do you remember that game or any Jurassic Park game on the system?

I recently found my Sega Genesis when I moved last year. I was shocked I still had it because EVERY single console I owned before my current Xbox 360 had been sold. It didn't even have any of the AV cables or the power adapter in addition to no games. Just the system itself and an aftermarket controller. Even more recently, I found a store called 2nd and Charles near me that buys and sells used games and systems. On a whim one day, I bought a Gamecube, which I have never owned, and it has been awesome experiencing this. After viewing your collection, I think I am going to begin my own collection, but only the consoles I owned or that were around during my time. I am really looking forward to getting into retro gaming.
